The Rosetta Stone Online Language Learning program uses thousands of real-life images, written text, and voices of native speakers in order to teach various vocabulary terms and grammatical functions intuitively like a native learner, without drills or translation. They call this the "Dynamic Immersion method".
With Dynamic Immersion, you can acquire everyday proficiency in all key language skills: listening comprehension, reading comprehension, speaking and writing. The genius of the process involves using pictures to teach you how to listen, speak, read, and write, rather than teaching by translation. So as you learn your new language you associate the new words, phrases, and grammatical structures directly with the pictures rather than mentally translating through your native language.
Learner seats can be reserved for up to six weeks and renewed for up to another six weeks of self paced study in a specific language. Filling out the form below will reserve a seat for you to learn a new language. Confirmation of reservation requests will be sent by email and filling reservations will be based on first-come, first-served. The Library reserves the right to discontinue learner seats for periods of inactivity or failure to progress.
