Textbook Collections

Library Services has two textbook collections that support specific academic programs. These collections have restricted checkout periods and terms. Most are located at the Fairway Building Libraries.

TAMUCT Course Textbooks

Library Services collects one copy of each textbook used in a TAMUCT course. These books are available for two hour checkouts at the Fairway Building Reference Library or the Founder's Hall Library Extension. Textbooks are purchased using departmental textbook lists several weeks before the start of the new semester as funding allows. Books that are late additions to courses may not be purchased in a timely manner, and will be late to arrive.

State-Adopted Textbooks

Library Services also purchases a representative collection of state-adopted textbooks used by area schools in Killeen, Copperas Cove, Harker Heights, Belton, and Temple. These textbooks are housed in the closed stacks, but can be requested for pick up through an online form or at the Fairway Building Reference Library. Library Services owns the teacher's edition of each textbook, and may only lend them to TAMUCT curriculum and instruction students. This collection is updated yearly as funding allows.
