Born in the spirit of the community in 1999 as Tarleton–Central Texas, Texas A&M University–Central Texas became a stand-alone university on May 27, 2009 as a member of The Texas A&M University System. We know that we have a rich history that involves both the community and military, and provides students with lifelong learning. How do we insure that we effectively reflect that history to the rest of the world? That is why it is important that you, the students, faculty, staff and community of A&M–Central Texas, help us create new traditions by selecting our school colors and mascot.

The new school colors and mascot were unveiled at a ceremony on Thursday, January 14, 2010 at the A&M-Central Texas North Campus Cafeteria. Texas A&M University-Central Texas is now sporting Navy Blue, Maroon, and Silver and is proud to be the Home of The Warriors!
