Blue Coats

The Blue Coat Ambassadors, more commonly referred as the "Blue Coats," is one of the newest programs at A&M - Central Texas! This elite group of students embodies the university's core values. These ambassadors work toward recruiting and retaining students for TAMUCT.

The Blue Coats serve as a peer mentor to early alert students; make community presentations that help with the promotion of the P-20 council initiatives, involving college readiness; volunteer at University functions and host campus guest when needed; give campus tours to potential TAMUCT students; attend community and/or school functions to recruit potential TAMUCT students; are knowledgeable about university functions; and commit to serving weekly office hours to help support recruitment and retention initiatives.

Congratulations! Within the past few months the Division of Student Affairs has relentlessly been seeking 2 high-natured, outgoing, positive, and qualified candidates to become a dedicated member of the Blue Coat ambassador company. Blue Coat Ambassodors are generally interviewed in November.

Qualifications

  • Must have completed 9 TAMUCT semester credit hours
  • Have and maintain a 2.5 cumulative GPA
  • Maintain enrollment in 6 registered semester credit hours for Spring/Fall
  • Feel comfortable speaking in large and small groups
  • Remain in good standing with the university
  • Have the ability to provide own transportation to various locations within the Central Texas community
